I saw this post from Kristin at KristinK Raves Books and thought it would be a good idea to do it since I have a lot of books on my TBR shelf on Goodreads.

Down the Rabbit Hole was created by Lia @ Lost in a Story.

This is how it works:

1. Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
2. Order on ascending date added.
3. Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
4. Read the synopses of the books
5. Decide: keep it or should it go?

So I have tons of books on my TBR pile. To add to that, I have more than one TBR pile but I’m just going to pick from two: the normal TBR pile and my send this to me now TBR pile. So I think, I may have to update this a little bit. Instead of getting just 5 from my main TBR pile. I’ll get at least 3 from each of my TBR piles.

NORMAL TBR PILE

American gods

I liked the TV show, but currently, I’m not caught up. I do want to see how different the book is from the TV show, so I’ll keep this.

VERDICT – KEEP!

Neverwhere neil gaiman

Another Neil Gaiman book that I should have read by now. I’m a bit wary of saying bye to this because some of my GR friends really liked it. Gaaah. I dunno… The problem is, I’m not sure if I’ll EVER get to this.

VERDICT – IT’S A BYE FOR NOW!

Everneath brodi ashton

I love retellings. I believe this is one of those Hades-Persephone retellings, but hell, I have this on my TBR since 2011 and I still have not read it. That means something. The cover looks glorious though.

VERDICT – IT’S A BYE FOR NOW!

SEND ME THIS BOOK NOW TBR SHELF

Hurt tabitha suzuma

Forbidden is my favorite book of all time, and Hurt is written by the same author. The ratings for this book isn’t as high, but I have faith in Tabitha Suzuma.

VERDICT – KEEP!

The collector victoria scott

While the male protagonist, Dante, sounds intriguing, and someone who I would most likely fall for, I don’t think I’m ever going to read this.

VERDICT – IT’S A BYE FOR NOW!

Tell the wolves I'm home carol rifka brunt

I haven’t had the chance to read a lot of LGBTQ+ books, so I’m definitely keeping this. All of my friends loved it, so I’m keeping it.

VERDICT – KEEP!

THAT IS IT FOR NOW! If you guys want to remove stuff from your TBR pile, this is a great way to do that. Assess whether you are still interested in keeping a book or not.

Which books are you planning to off from your TBR pile? Let me know. πŸ™‚
