That was how I looked like when I heard that my package from Althea has arrived! I’m not even kidding.

Althea Korea Haul

I’ve heard lots of good things about this site. Not only are the products they sell great, but you can get them at an affordable and reasonable price, too. Oh, and did I mention they offer free shipping for orders more than 999 pesos? Great huh? Oh and the ship your orders quite quickly it’s amazing.

2017 is the year I am going to start taking better care of my skin. I have a terrible skin care routine. I’m sorry, but it’s true. I tend to skip on some stuff like toning and moisturizing when I’m feeling lazy as f*ck. This year, I’m completely changing my skin care game.

I’ve been researching (mainly googling) about the 10 Step Korean Skin Care routine. Yes, it’s a 10 step process, but don’t be alarmed, you don’t have to do all 10 of them. You just have to choose which step would fit for your skin type. I’m not going to dwell too much on this because I am planning to do a separate blog post about this when I do try it out. Okay, so going back. The Korean skin care routine is what pushed me to order from Althea since they do have the best selection of Korean skin care, plus not to mention the affordable price, as previously mentioned.

So enough of the babble.

Here are the things I got and do a mini review for each of the stuff I’ve got.

I’ve been using them for a month now, so by now I already have a good idea how these stuff work for my skin (yeah this haul post is so delayed. sorry)

skinfood egg white pore foam review

I didn’t really like this too much when I started using it because I felt it was the cause of my breakouts, but it turns out, I was wrong. It was my hormones acting up when I had those breakouts.  So far so good, I haven’t had any bad breakouts since I started using this. To add to that, I do see visible results with my pores. It didn’t drastically shrink my pores to a nonexistent state, but it did tighten them a little bit. When you use this product, expect your skin to feel a bit tight after using it. I heard it mimics the same effect as when you do an egg mask. Another good thing about this product is the size. This is a 150 ml product. You don’t really need much of it, so I’m thinking this would last me a couple of months until I buy a new one.

Now I love this shit! It made my skin look so plump and healthy. I read reviews about the cream being too thick to use in the morning, so most just use it at night. But not me. I use this in the morning too! I love how soft and moisturized my skin looks and feels. The product is a bit thick, but when you apply it to your face, it does adhere to your skin well without feeling too oily. This is best also best for people who stay in an airconditioned room all day. It keeps your skin hydrated and won’t dry your skin.

I got this because of all the good ratings it had on the Althea website. I also googled some reviews about it and found them positive as well. So I got it. I didn’t know what a serum would be like, so I didn’t know what to expect. One of the promises this product has is to improve skin health and minimize pores. When I saw that, I was like, “damn! i need that in my life”. It’s one of the affordable serums from the Althea website too, so why the hell would I not take it? As for the product? I do think it’s working its miracle on my skin. My skin feels less textured and more smooth. When you apply this, you would feel a slightly tingling sensation for a tiny bit, then it disappears. They said it’s because of the product working its magic on your skin. However, I don’t think my skin looks better just because of this product alone. I think it’s the entire Korean skin care technique that I adopted recently that made my skin look and feel this way.

I bought this by mistake, actually. Yep. For someone who loves to read, I obviously didn’t read to much about what this product was for. This is a makeup base. It’s like a primer that would make your makeup look more glowy. I think this would work best for those foundations that are more matte. This would definitely help give your matte foundation a more healthy glow when you apply it on your skin. I, personally, use BB creams or foundations that are more on the dewier side because I like my skin looking natural and healthy. You’d think that because my foundation/bb cream is already dewy, that this would make it more dewy; it doesn’t! It just makes your skin look more alive and healthy.
