I used to be a wash-and-go kind of girl when it comes to skin care. I was the type of person who just wash their face with a facial wash, or scrub, in the morning and at night. Basically, that about sums up my skin care.
Recently though, I’ve become more aware of how my skin has been looking. It felt dry and oily at the same time. My pores were about the size of a moon crater. I get pesky zits that pops up here and there. The annoying zit marks that won’t go away. To sum it up, my face looks like a disaster. I’m not even exaggerating. Okay. I may be exaggerating about the size of my pores, but they are there, wide and very much visible.
I’ve started researching on stuff that might help me with my skin issues, and I came across the Korean 10 step skin care routine. At first, I was like, “What the hell? Really? 10 steps?“. But of course, after learning more about it, I realized that you don’t have to do everything in the routine, just the ones that would cater specifically to your current skin needs.
So today, I’m going to be sharing with you, the products that I’ve been using, for the past 3 months now, with a few new ones added in. This is the routine that is currently working for me. Just a disclaimer though, I’m not a professional. I won’t pretend that I’m an expert with regards to skin care and what stuff would make your skin look better. This is my personal skin care routine, and hoping you’d find helpful if you have the same skin concerns that I have.
SKIN TYPE: Combination/Oily
SKIN CONCERNS: Pores, hyperpigmentation, occasional oiliness
The skin care products I use are mostly the same both for AM and PM, but there are some that I only use in the morning or at night. I’ll put a note on each product so you’ll know when I use them.
CLEANSER: Skinfood Egg White Pore Foam (AM/PM)
TONER: Gluta C Intense Whitening Toner (AM/PM)
ESSENCE: Skin & Lab Bio Activating Essence (mostly, AM. I am still a bit hesitant to use this with my Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin C)
SERUM 1: Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin C (mostly, PM)
SERUM 2: Fresh Herb Origin Serum (AM/PM)
CREAM: Onsaemeein Lumiere Gold Daily Cream (PM)
SUNSCREEN: Cathy Doll Invisible Sun Protection SPF 33 PA+++ (AM)
SHEETMASK: I don’t have one that I use regularly, I just get what I can from Watsons (LOL).
So far, these are the product that works for me. However, since I am going to be reviewing more skin care products on my blog, I would be switching up some of these products soon so I can try more products.
Have you tried any of these products? What did you think about it? How do you usually do your skin care?
